The Green Building Grant Program was established by the Real Estate Foundation and Vancity Credit Union to minimize the impacts of climate change and improve sustainable land use practices by supporting green building initiatives in British Columbia. The overall goal of the funding program is to reduce CO₂ emissions resulting from settlement activity. The program was launched in 2004.

In 2013, the Program has $200,000 available for grants to qualified recipients; individual grants can be up to $50,000 each.

Note that Green Building Grants do not follow the same procedure as regular Real Estate Foundation grants. There is one intake per year. The deadline for 2013 has passed.
